What is gonna happen? What's up guys, welcome back to Views. Today is a very special day. We have somebody here that we've never had before. Her name is— full name Isabella Lopez. You may know her as Bella from the gym. Bella's been working with us for— oh, first off, She's here because some really big shit went down. We're going to talk about that in like 10 minutes.
Jason0:30Moment view
Oh my God, bro. Our friend.
David0:33Moment view
Wait, wait, wait.
Jason0:34Moment view
He won the lottery.
Natalie0:35Moment view
No, bro. Just the 5 out of the 6 numbers.
Ilya0:38Moment view
I heard about this guy.
David0:40Moment view
He lives in town.
Natalie0:41Moment view
Wait, what?
Jason0:41Moment view
$1.1 million.
David0:43Moment view
Bella's friend just hit 5 out of the 6 Powerball numbers, winning him $1.1 million. Guys, I'm looking at the ticket here. Oh my God, did he have the Powerball? So 2 drawings ago, he hit the numbers 3, 18, 22, 27, 33. I'm gonna puke.
Ilya1:03Moment view
What?
David1:03Moment view
I'm gonna puke. The Powerball number was 17. Yeah, his number came out to be 16.
Jason1:09Moment view
No way! Shut up!
David1:10Moment view
He was one— he was one digit change from $1.1 billion.
Natalie1:18Moment view
Oh my God.
David1:20Moment view
Wow.
Natalie1:21Moment view
Oh my God, that's fucking great.
Ilya1:25Moment view
I would take a leave of absence from work if that happened to me.
David1:29Moment view
Do you know what that difference— I'm sorry, I know $1 million is a lot. We're talking the difference between 10 years of your life from 10 generations of your family. Yeah, forever changed. You will never ever— like, it is a complete— it's a huge difference. I'm sorry, I know, I get it.
Natalie1:44Moment view
No, it is.
David1:45Moment view
I get it. It's a big difference. They're every— your bloodline forever, if invested properly, will be good. Undisputed. He was one digit away. Poor guy.
Jason1:56Moment view
I mean, I wonder if I should call him and just like tell him he doesn't have to disclose his identity.
David2:00Moment view
Do you know him that well?
Jason2:01Moment view
Yeah, I know him from high school.
David2:02Moment view
Calm, calm, calm.
Jason2:03Moment view
I just want to see—
Ilya2:04Moment view
he's crying when you call him.
David2:05Moment view
Okay, we have to be positive with him, right?
Ilya2:06Moment view
Yeah, yeah.
David2:08Moment view
I'm so sorry, dude.
Natalie2:11Moment view
Hello?
David2:12Moment view
Hi, dude. Um, this is David. I'm with, uh, Bella and our friend Jason and Natalie.
Natalie2:19Moment view
Hey, nice to meet you guys. How we doing?
Ilya2:21Moment view
Nice to meet you.
David2:21Moment view
You sound like you have a pep in your step. I've never met you, but you sound excited. This is crazy. We were recording the pod and then Bella got a text that you won. You won the Powerball. This is what's going on. How did this happen? Please explain this. I've never been in the vicinity of anybody that's done that.
Natalie2:37Moment view
So I didn't win the 6 out of 6. I went 5 for 6.
David2:41Moment view
I know. And I, and I just saw the numbers. You were, yeah. You were one away from—
Jason2:46Moment view
I was one.
Natalie2:46Moment view
Yeah, so the Powerball number was 17 and then I had 16.
David2:52Moment view
Wow. Wow.
Natalie2:53Moment view
Yeah, one number away from $1.1 billion. I was just on the phone with my roommate from college. I said it's the greatest win and loss ever, maybe.
David3:05Moment view
Yeah, I mean, I—
Natalie3:06Moment view
Great win, but like $1 million compared to a billion, it's a big difference.
David3:11Moment view
Right. Yeah, that's what— that's what— that's where my mind went immediately. I didn't want to like talk to you about that because you should be fucking stoked that you won a million dollars. What, uh, I don't know, tell me the process of when you like found it, like when you were looking at the numbers.
Natalie3:27Moment view
So I bought it on Thursday before one of my men's league basketball games, and I just did it. It was probably like my 5th, 6th time ever buying one.
David3:35Moment view
Wow.
Natalie3:35Moment view
Wow. And I was just like You know, I'll put $20 on it. I got like 10 lines and I bought a Gatorade, played my game, and then like went the whole week, went out Saturday night, kind of got drunk, got back late Sunday, and then like ordered a pizza, just chilling there. And I'm like, I remember us talking about it in the morning and like, I like looked at it, was just sitting on my apartment counter for like 3 days.
Jason3:59Moment view
Wow.
Natalie3:59Moment view
And like, I looked down and like, I saw the number 3 on the third line. I was like, oh damn, that was one of the numbers. Like, let me, let me just pull up the app and scan it real quick, like, as I'm grabbing a piece of pizza. And then, like, the number popped up, and I read it as a billion first, because I saw 1 comma and then, like, 3 numbers, comma, 3 numbers. And then I saw, like, I thought it was another comma, but it was a period. So I, like, threw my phone on the counter, shit. And I was like, what the fuck? Oh, and I got just, like, started, like, I was like, no, what did I just read? Like, Like, did that say what I think it just said? And I kind of like crept back over to my phone and I was like, oh. And then I was like, wait, hold on, that says a million. I just started running around my house. I was like, oh shit. Oh shit. Like, took my shirt off.
Ilya4:46Moment view
I was like, wow.
David4:50Moment view
Who's the first person you called? Did you call a bunch of people or did you call nobody? What did you do?
Natalie4:55Moment view
So Bella will know these two people. My friend Carson and Jordan. They were coming over because we had to do our fantasy draft. So I had two fantasy drafts in like 15 minutes after I scanned this card. So I'm like freaking out before I'm drafting my team. And like they walk in the door and I just had it sitting there. I'm like, you guys got to go look at that. And like they both just like looked at the phone and like looked at the ticket and they're like, oh shit, like no way. Like, and we just all started jumping up and down and stuff.
David5:22Moment view
What are you going to spend the money on?
Natalie5:24Moment view
I have no idea yet. I think I'm going to I've been trying to— me and my dad have talked a little bit about things to do. I got to get a new car soon, so it was kind of perfect timing.
Ilya5:34Moment view
Wow.
Natalie5:35Moment view
I think a car is probably in the future.
David5:37Moment view
And then were your parents stoked? Was your dad like—
Natalie5:40Moment view
oh yeah, my dad's been playing lottery for 40, 50 years, probably every week.
Jason5:46Moment view
Oh my God.
Natalie5:47Moment view
He was like, I've always dreamed of this day. Like, he met me in Sacramento to turn it in together.
David5:53Moment view
Wow, what did it— so when you scanned it on your app, I've always wondered this, like, what is it? It's just as a basic— does confetti pop up on your phone? Does it just say congratulations?
Natalie6:03Moment view
I have a screenshot of it. I'll text it to her number right now. Like, it's kind of basic, I'm not gonna lie.
David6:08Moment view
Wow, but that's like—
Natalie6:09Moment view
you would think there would be some confetti or something.
David6:12Moment view
Yeah, like a FaceTime from like the president.
Jason6:17Moment view
Something fucking huge. Governor, yeah.
David6:17Moment view
Damn, that's fucking crazy. Wow, holy fuck.
Natalie6:21Moment view
It's a crazy feeling right away.
David6:22Moment view
Oh my God, it says you're a winner. You have won $1.165 million. Please sign your ticket and file a claim form. My, my big question is, how do you balance the excitement and the one number away? What's like, where is— I've always, I've always argued this. A win's a win. A win's a win.
Natalie6:44Moment view
The $1 million, that's a win, man. Like, I, I'm very grateful for that.
David6:49Moment view
Like, okay, fuck yeah.
Ilya6:50Moment view
Like, I'll take the win any day, but like, it does hurt a little bit.
Natalie6:54Moment view
Like, damn, like one number. Like, nobody else had to be close like to— like that. No, I think I was the closest person.
David7:01Moment view
Yeah, there was what, 3 other winners?
Natalie7:03Moment view
Yeah, I was like, no way they had like 18.
David7:06Moment view
No fucking way.
Jason7:07Moment view
I—
David7:07Moment view
yeah, I think this is the closest that— I mean, the closest you can get to the grand prize.
Natalie7:12Moment view
Like, they didn't win again. Today or yesterday. Like, I'm like, dude, like, I was that close. Like, and it's still going.
David7:21Moment view
And you didn't just win any lottery. You won a billion dollar— like, you were one number away from a billion dollar lottery. Like, you were in the big one.
Natalie7:27Moment view
I think that's like one of the biggest ones.
David7:29Moment view
Yeah, I think it's in like the top 3 or 4. It's huge.
Natalie7:32Moment view
Yeah.
Ilya7:32Moment view
Will you play again?
David7:33Moment view
Yeah. Are you going to play again?
Natalie7:35Moment view
Oh, I think I'm about to go stop at the gas station right now. Like, why not, dude?
David7:40Moment view
Jay, is there a band you're looking to see like perform live or no?
Ilya7:42Moment view
Oh, yes. I want to go see The Fray.
Jason7:45Moment view
Oh, oh, You know what I want to see? What?
Natalie7:47Moment view
The Jonas Brothers. Have you seen that? It looks so fun.
David7:50Moment view
Can I help you get tickets?
Natalie7:52Moment view
Of course. Yeah.
David7:53Moment view
Yeah. Well, SeatGeek is the number one place for any kind of tickets, really. With over 28 million downloads, SeatGeek is the number one rated ticketing app. There are more than 70,000 events listed on SeatGeek, including concerts, sports festivals, and more. Guys, so like, if there's any event that's ever ticketed and you want a good price on tickets, you go to SeatGeek, use our code, and it's easy as that. I don't know why we talk about this.
Ilya8:15Moment view
It's the best. I've seen Dave.
David8:18Moment view
How many?
Ilya8:19Moment view
Hundreds.
David8:19Moment view
And probably for damn near free.
Ilya8:21Moment view
Miles Davis. I've seen Herbie Hancock. I didn't see Miles Davis, he's dead.
David8:25Moment view
You saw Miles Davis?
Ilya8:26Moment view
I saw Chappelle. I've seen Tyler, the Creator.
David8:29Moment view
Well, before the summer ends, get out of the house, do something fun, and use our code VIEWS10 for 10% off your next set of tickets at SeatGeek. That's 10% off tickets with promo code VIEWS10. Code VIEWS10 for 10% off tickets on SeatGeek. Okay, so that was a wild start to the pod. I was not expecting a, uh, Powerball winner to call in. That's sick. That wasn't even the story that I wanted Bella to share on it. It's, it's still— the crazy story is still up for grabs. All right, Bella, start here. When, when did you get hired here?
Jason9:07Moment view
Uh, I got hired at Zealot in May 2022.
David9:10Moment view
So May 2022. And then like, and then like, I, I slowly, as time went on, I figured out like you watched a lot of the videos.
Jason9:20Moment view
Yeah, I would show up with like different merch on. Yeah, like, where'd you get that? I don't know, I just had it.
David9:28Moment view
Yeah, when she got like more and more comfortable, she started bringing like newer pieces of merch, and it got like really niche. We thought like shit that was like Maybe 10 pieces in the drop.
Ilya9:41Moment view
David and Brooklyn Beckham drop.
David9:44Moment view
Yeah, really, it was like, it was like Natalie's pasta collection. No, no, Drake and Josh collab. David's vlog merch or whatever it was.
Natalie9:55Moment view
I thought that you— I thought you were just like, for a long time I thought you were just like pulling from the merch closet upstairs.
David10:01Moment view
That's what I thought until like the Drake and Josh merch showed up.
Natalie10:05Moment view
Well, that's what people do. People come over and they need an extra hoodie and they like go grab one of the old like clickbait hoodies or whatever. So that you were just doing It's your personal collection. Yeah, I found out it's your personal collection.
Ilya10:14Moment view
How many pieces of merch do you think you have?
Jason10:17Moment view
Had.
Ilya10:17Moment view
Had? Oh, you got rid of them after what went down? You got rid of them?
Jason10:22Moment view
No, I had— I had— let's see, I had the Drake and Josh one. I had— I had—
David10:26Moment view
you just had this like 6 months ago. What, you just got rid of them?
Jason10:29Moment view
No, I still have that one. I would never get rid of that one.
David10:31Moment view
Okay, so Bella was like low-key hiding that she was a super fan while working here.
Jason10:35Moment view
That's so like Funny.
Ilya10:36Moment view
I think that's great when someone shows up and they're a fan. I'm like, oh great.
David10:41Moment view
No, I think that's sick.
Ilya10:43Moment view
I know most people are like, that, that's not okay, but no, I think it's great. And though it turned out to be amazing.
David10:48Moment view
Yeah, yeah. Okay, so you watched the videos before working here?
Jason10:53Moment view
Yes.
David10:53Moment view
How did you hear about the job? You just followed Ilya or somebody?
Jason10:56Moment view
Actually, Jack's the one who saw, uh, everything about Zilla first because he's very into working out. So he saw that it was like a new protein coming out and he was like, oh my God, we have to try this. And then we found out it was linked to like you guys. And I was like, what the fuck? So, so then like, like your world's combining protein and trash merch. So we waited for the drop, we ordered the protein, and then, and I was applying for jobs. I was like, my last interview at Live Nation, they denied me, like just going to every interview. And it was like the final final and I just wasn't getting the job. So I was like very down.. And I was like, fuck it, fine, I'll just apply for this job because I was looking to work in social media. So I did. He emailed me back like right away. I had an interview and then he hired me, but I haven't even met him yet. So I was like, okay. And that's when the company was like maybe a month old.
Ilya11:50Moment view
So did you have a FaceTime with Ilya?
Jason11:52Moment view
I had an interview with Ilya. It was so scary because he was very like stone. Like, you know, when he gets like super serious, like he means business.
Ilya12:01Moment view
Yeah, business mode.
Jason12:01Moment view
And I was like trying to joke with him in the interview and he was like, so where do you live?
David12:05Moment view
And it's just like, I was like, uh, you knew Ilya as you, you knew Ilya from the videos.
Jason12:11Moment view
That's it.
Ilya12:12Moment view
The guy who was handcuffed to Dima. Yeah.
David12:14Moment view
The guy who's throwing up in toilets.
Jason12:17Moment view
Yes. So I thought he was like gonna be funny and lighthearted in the interview and I was just like not prepared, but I knew like something was telling me like, oh, I think, I think I got that job.
Ilya12:25Moment view
I don't know why.
David12:26Moment view
Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That's really funny. Yeah. He, Ilya was telling me the other day, he was like, when, when he used to work at the plumbing company, he used to work for his dad's plumbing company that he then took over and, and he was just praying to God that like no one would ever see his videos or see my videos because he's just getting hammered in them. And it's like, and he really does take his business seriously and he like doesn't want anything to affect it. And then, and then one day, like his, literally his biggest client like found a vlog where we're in Chicago and he's like completely hammered and like throwing up on the side of the street and sent it to Elliot and he goes, is this you? And then it just became an ongoing joke. With Ilya and his biggest client. Every time a new vlog would come out where Ilya was getting hammered, he would send it to him.
Ilya13:10Moment view
It could go one of two ways. It could go like, I don't want to work with you, or it could go like, damn, I love this guy.
David13:15Moment view
Yeah, yeah. But that's usually how business is, is it not?
Jason13:18Moment view
Yeah, yeah.
David13:19Moment view
Like everybody that we've ever met and is like— like, I don't want to throw everybody that we've ever met under the bus, but they're all cokeheads. Um, no, but like, it really— like, they are like the craziest party, like every— everybody has a side to them. Every human being has a side to them that's like a human being.
Natalie13:39Moment view
Yeah, I think there's like a point where like everybody, everybody parties, everyone lets loose, everyone does whatever. I think Ilya, I think it worked for Ilya just because he was the head and owner of the company. Like if he was just like a random plumber, they'd be like, okay, you kind of got to get out of here.
David13:52Moment view
This is like a little bit too much. So that to that point that like everybody has a side to them we work with, We have somebody that works with us here. Her name's Brooke. And she does like—
Natalie14:04Moment view
All the business administrative stuff.
David14:05Moment view
Yeah. All the really boring stuff on the computer. The stuff that I'm terrified of, just like helping Natalie, whatever, brand deals. And she keeps to herself on the computer. But when we'll have our parties, for some reason, Zane always like—
Natalie14:24Moment view
Yeah. Zane did— That was how I— got like integrated into the friend group was just Zane one night decided that he was gonna hang out with me and make it his mission to like just take shots.
David14:33Moment view
I think Zane does that, like at like his—
Natalie14:35Moment view
he loves to like alleviate like the awkward.
Ilya14:37Moment view
Yes, yes, yes, yes, I've seen him do that.
David14:38Moment view
And I think he'll like find the person that like he knows that's been like hanging around the house but maybe they haven't been like broken into like having, having like the, the amazing time. And it was Brooke like this last party, and it's actually been like two parties. And then like, and then like Zane will just go shot for shot with Brooke. Oh my God.
Natalie14:57Moment view
And then like I've never seen Brooke drunk before.
David14:59Moment view
I've never seen it in my life, really, ever.
Jason15:02Moment view
Yeah. Oh, I mean, it's your employer, so yeah, she's always on her best.
David15:06Moment view
Well, it was just really funny because like I came upstairs, there's like a bar upstairs, like, like on my balcony, and Brooke's like, Brooke's like— which is like, if you know Brooke, she's like so quiet. Yes. She's like, Dave, let's take a shot. Oh my God. And I'm like, I literally, I like, like, like a cartoon, I had to like squeegee my eyes because I was I was like, wait, is this really what's happening? I was like, I was like, oh, I can't right now. And then, and then like, I'm not kidding you, like, like at least 2 more times she goes, come on, come on, Dave. I mean, speaking of drinking, Bella, I'm sober. How are you sober now?
Jason15:44Moment view
Yes, 0 days starting today.
Ilya15:48Moment view
6 hours.
David15:48Moment view
That was the craziest. That was the every— Bella gets drunk like than no other.
Jason15:54Moment view
Oh my God, you do? Is that true? No, no, please, please.
Ilya15:59Moment view
Oh, that's so funny.
David16:00Moment view
And I know Bella's hammered because it'll be like 3 AM, I'll be asleep.
Natalie16:04Moment view
Yeah.
David16:05Moment view
And I'll hear— no, no, no, no, no, no, no, she'll be here on the couch, usually on her own.
Ilya16:12Moment view
Yeah.
David16:12Moment view
And I'll just hear Endgame or like any Avengers movie just blasting. That's what she does at like—
Natalie16:18Moment view
at like she gets hammered and then watches.
David16:19Moment view
She gets hammered and she puts on Endgame. And then cries, falls asleep. Yeah, but like, you hear, like, you hear the house shaking because it's so loud. It's like, it's like your drunk dad coming home. It's like, oh, fuck, Bella's here.
Jason16:35Moment view
Oh my God. Okay, this doesn't happen that often.
Natalie16:38Moment view
It's happened 4 times.
Jason16:39Moment view
Okay, 3 or 4, which is crazy.
David16:42Moment view
Which is crazy because it doesn't happen that much. It's not that many movies.
Jason16:46Moment view
5 or 6 times.
David16:47Moment view
That's not a lot.
Jason16:49Moment view
But no, it's okay. I'm also like not— I'm also like not leaving like my house and like just getting drunk and coming to David's and watching Endgame. We're all doing stuff together.
David16:58Moment view
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, there's actually been moments where you're like completely on your own drunk. What? Bella, be honest with you. I don't remember. Oh yeah, you probably don't remember, but there are definitely moments where Bella's just drunk and then she'll be like, I'm swinging by the house, and then she'll bring her drunk storm and she'll be like, we got to put on Endgame.
Jason17:16Moment view
I just take over. I'm also like this fitness fucking health person.
David17:19Moment view
Yeah, no, you balance it really well.
Natalie17:21Moment view
Yeah, that's the best.
David17:22Moment view
Yeah, yeah. Um, back to— that was really interesting, Bella. You were saying like Ilya was scary. What was the vibe with everybody else?
Jason17:30Moment view
When I first, uh, got flown down to, uh, to meet like Sean, who's part of Zilla, flown down. Oh, Alex put me on that. You know about that one day?
Ilya17:41Moment view
I mean, first class, it was a private jet. They went and picked up Bella, the Zilla jet, flown down. Flown down to be hired as a social media manager?
David17:56Moment view
Are you kidding?
Ilya17:58Moment view
That's insane.
David17:59Moment view
But how else would you get here?
Ilya18:01Moment view
You'd cart your ass down. How did Ferris get here? Ferris was in Arizona. He fucking carted his ass up here.
David18:06Moment view
India. He drove.
Natalie18:08Moment view
India.
David18:08Moment view
Malaysia. But okay, I guess you're right.
Jason18:10Moment view
But when I first met Alex, I hugged him and he said it was so weird that I did that. He was like, that was so weird. Like, he told me months later, like, because I was like, hi, like, I just, I'm not like this. Like meeting in Chicago. Um, cause like that was my first job. I was also a student and I'm just like so giddy. Yeah. I was like, hi! He was like, I'm a hugger. He told me after, he was like, that was so weird that you hugged me.
David18:37Moment view
Oh, I guess. I guess in like a regular like.
Natalie18:40Moment view
Yeah, I hug everybody at our meetings.
Jason18:43Moment view
First time. They're probably like, now he's so weird.
Ilya18:45Moment view
First time though, Matt?
Natalie18:46Moment view
First time you need my hug?
Ilya18:48Moment view
I—
Natalie18:48Moment view
okay, when we start the meeting, it's a handshake, and then we leave the meeting and it's like a hug.
Ilya18:52Moment view
Oh, usually. Oh, that's pretty good. That is perfect. That's actually perfect.
Jason18:57Moment view
Yeah.
David18:57Moment view
Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
Ilya18:59Moment view
What do you do?
David19:00Moment view
I mean, like, I, I've always like wished I was a woman so I could like just strictly go—
Ilya19:06Moment view
fine, I have the title.
Jason19:07Moment view
Okay, I have the podcast.
David19:09Moment view
Now here it comes. This is where I completely pivot. It has nothing to do with meetings. We never get to That's a long time. No, like, I've always— because I feel like women get away with, like, hugs more often, and my hands are so sweaty that, like, for a while the handshake, like, made me not want to do any meetings. Yes. Um, but, like, women always hug, so, like, I, I dabbled in, like, saying I'm a hugger. Yeah, yeah. But it just comes off weird.
Ilya19:34Moment view
Well, hug is better, then they don't feel your hands, right? Yeah, that's exactly right. Sweat is on their shirt.
David19:39Moment view
Yeah. Or I'll, like, fist pound. What's on their shirt? Yeah. Or I used to do this pro move. Like when we had meetings at the house, I'd like eat something right before and I'd be like, oh my God, cream cheese all over my hand.
Natalie19:52Moment view
It's not a pro move.
David19:53Moment view
I'd be like, here's my elbow.
Ilya19:55Moment view
I just got into a chili dog. You do not want to shake my hand right now.
David20:00Moment view
No, literally. And then I'd have to like go right before the meeting would end. I've done this 5 times. I've done a handful of times. This is real. And like right before the meeting would end, I would have to go back and make a new food item, grab Hot Cheetos, grab chips or something.
Jason20:13Moment view
There's no way you do this. This is crazy.
David20:14Moment view
I don't do it anymore. My hands for some reason don't sweat as much.
Jason20:18Moment view
Oh, that's good.
David20:18Moment view
I don't know what happened. It's like happened like last, like 3 years. Like, it's like I stopped doing it. Yeah. Well, actually, my hands are sweating now. Bella, you want to feel it? Yeah. Wait, really? Yeah. Dude, you're going to be—
Jason20:27Moment view
Oh, you're like a germaphobe though, right?
David20:29Moment view
Bella, your mind's about to be blown.
Jason20:31Moment view
You make me open the door at AMC.
David20:34Moment view
Okay, Niagara Falls. I don't make you open the door.
Jason20:37Moment view
No, that's not what I said.
David20:39Moment view
No, I was— I, I, I left. We were watching a movie and I left the bathroom and I saw Bella coming. Yeah. And I just stood outside. I just stood outside the movie theater because I hate touching the handles. Yeah. And I was like, I'm just gonna wait till either— I, I usually wait for a random stranger to come out so I can catch it with my elbow, catch it with my foot. Yeah. Because I'm going back into my popcorn and my burrito that I have inside, so I'm like, I can't touch this fucking AMC door, right? And then Bella just stood there, she's like, are you not going in? I'm like, yeah, after you.
Jason21:12Moment view
He has like a napkin to open the door.
David21:13Moment view
I'm like, okay, okay, you ready?
Natalie21:15Moment view
It's really sweaty.
Jason21:18Moment view
Yeah, look at this. Okay, it's like, it's like I got out of the shower.
David21:25Moment view
Yeah, it's really gross.
Natalie21:26Moment view
Let's fucking disgusting.
Jason21:27Moment view
It's like leaving a mark on my pants.
David21:29Moment view
Sorry.
Jason21:29Moment view
Holy shit, you could get Botox in there.
David21:32Moment view
No, I know, that's just because I'm holding the mic and it's like this material against my hand.
Ilya21:35Moment view
It's called hyper—
Natalie21:36Moment view
the mic is dripping.
Ilya21:40Moment view
The podcast is— yeah, how hot this episode.
David21:42Moment view
Yeah, that's— I mean, that's why I like started to suck at tennis, because my rackets were just flying out of my hand. I couldn't get a good grip on them. And then you met— you met Jason, you met me, you met all of everybody. You were here working basically every day because the office was in—
Jason21:55Moment view
it was like a TikTok. I had a film of Jonah and Ilya making out like It was so weird.
David22:00Moment view
Oh, was that— that was one of your first things?
Jason22:02Moment view
Yeah, one of my first things. My first task was filming Nick.
David22:07Moment view
Filming your boss?
Jason22:08Moment view
Yeah, with this other guy. And then they both run to the backyard and throw up. I was like, I love working here. No, I loved it. Everybody was so amazing. And I genuinely loved coming to work so much every day. It was like, I didn't have a desk. We all like, Me, Alex, Emma, and Ilya all fit into, um, which is now like a guest room, but the office at the time. And I didn't have a desk for a full year. I sat on the floor and worked on my laptop, and Ilya's next to me in like this huge fucking cubicle desk. I'm like, I just sit on the floor.
David22:45Moment view
Ilya's sitting in a throne, Bella's on the floor.
Ilya22:48Moment view
That's right, because Zila was here in that room.
David22:50Moment view
Who was your favorite from the videos? Probably Ilya. Ilya?
Jason22:53Moment view
Oh wow.
Natalie22:55Moment view
We're all going to your wedding in like a month.
David22:57Moment view
Oh yeah, now we're going to your wedding.
Natalie22:58Moment view
Isn't that funny? We're all going to be there at Bella's wedding.
Ilya23:01Moment view
That's really funny.
Jason23:02Moment view
I actually haven't given Jason his invite yet, so he's probably a little confused.
Ilya23:10Moment view
No, I heard about it because I, I, I got— I think I got Alex a gig and, um, um, to DJ, and then he was like, oh, that's the night of Bella's wedding. And I was like, oh, okay.
David23:21Moment view
Wait, when is the wedding? Is it that soon?
Jason23:22Moment view
You got October 17th.
Ilya23:24Moment view
October.
David23:24Moment view
It's so— oh my God, coming up. That's crazy.
Ilya23:28Moment view
Yeah, we talked about it yesterday. You're, you're ready? You have a lot of trepidation?
Jason23:31Moment view
I'm— I mean, I'm nervous, but, um, how long have you been with your boyfriend?
David23:35Moment view
9 years. Fiancé. That's fucking crazy.
Ilya23:39Moment view
Yeah, since they were 17.
David23:41Moment view
That's fucking wild. Yeah, that's crazy.
Natalie23:45Moment view
That's fun.
David23:46Moment view
Was he like your first boyfriend?
Jason23:48Moment view
No, I had a boyfriend before that for like 2 years. Same name.
David23:52Moment view
Wow, that's nice. I kept it easy.
Jason23:53Moment view
Yeah, yeah. But yeah, I mean, like, technically, I guess, like, probably first boyfriend. I'm his first girlfriend.
David23:59Moment view
Is that like a normal thing for people from Torrance or wherever you were?
Jason24:03Moment view
From, uh, Bay Area.
David24:05Moment view
Is that like— is that normal for you guys to just like find the first person in high school and then like stick with them?
Jason24:12Moment view
I mean, like, I— we just had the same path. Like, I think COVID actually like helped a lot because I was gonna go to college.
David24:18Moment view
People always say like What is it, like the second or third year is where you kind of figure it out?
Jason24:22Moment view
It was— that was like the worst. Really? It was like our senior year of high school and like you could just feel like the separation and you either like lock in with that person and like try to keep going or you don't. And there was just like this middle. He'll say the same thing where it was just kind of like, do I like this person still?
David24:38Moment view
Like, is that how it was for you, Jay? No, I'm being serious. Like what? Like you've had a lot of relationships.
Ilya24:46Moment view
Yeah.
David24:46Moment view
How long have you been with Naveen?
Ilya24:47Moment view
Not married. Not married, uh, 3 years.
David24:50Moment view
Oh, this is the time. You're already married? This is when you figure out if it's gonna work.
Ilya24:54Moment view
Yeah, we rushed right into everything, so—
David24:57Moment view
Yeah, that was crazy. Wait, how fast did you get married? In like a year?
Ilya24:59Moment view
Really fast, yeah.
David25:01Moment view
Yeah, well, I guess if you're your age, it's like, who cares, right?
Ilya25:04Moment view
Yeah, yeah, it's my— yeah, because it's— for me, it was like, well, I'll probably just be alone for the rest of my life, and then someone wants to marry me, and I'm like, oh, you'll take it? Okay, you know what I mean?
David25:12Moment view
Are you sure?
Ilya25:13Moment view
Yeah, I didn't even want to get married. Right. You know what I mean? Like, it was not something—
Jason25:17Moment view
starts complaining about it.
Ilya25:18Moment view
It's not something that I was like, no, no, no, no. It was like not something I was looking for at all. But I mean, I don't want to go on a router, but yeah, she's the best. I mean, like, I got really lucky.
David25:26Moment view
What about your previous relationships? Like, have you ever heard of the 2, 3 year thing is like, that's where like it gets challenging?
Ilya25:32Moment view
I've heard of 7 year, 7 year itch, which is more of an older— it's like more of a marriage thing. And 7 years in, you're like, it's called the 7 year itch.
David25:41Moment view
Uh, 7-year itch to hook up with other people?
Ilya25:43Moment view
Uh, yeah, or just to get out. Yeah, I mean, my marriage lasted 10 years, and so—
David25:48Moment view
damn, so you were itchy for 3 years. That's crazy. When you got a divorce finally— yeah, right, 10 years— what was that like? Was it just like, fuck yeah, I'm single? Or were you like, fuck, I'm so much older than when I was single?
Ilya26:03Moment view
Um, no, it was, it was just mostly like crushing, like, for the kids.
David26:10Moment view
I'm just like, I'm like looking at it completely wrong. What club did you go to immediately?
Ilya26:14Moment view
No, because by then my kids hated me. By then you're like, you're, you're too old. You're too old to experience, like, what? Like, if, if you, if you had a girlfriend and you broke up right now, you're like, oh fuck, I'll go to Zouk, you know? But by the time you're 42, it's like, oh, it's over. So it's like this complete rebuild of this completely different person. And then this constant thing where you're like, can I work it out? Can I work it out for the kids? Can I go back? Can I go back? And when you're away for a while, you're like, okay, things are good. She doesn't hate me anymore. And then you're like, hmm, maybe I could go back, you know? But you can't.
David26:47Moment view
You called for the divorce, no?
Ilya26:51Moment view
Yeah.
David26:52Moment view
Yeah. I mean, I don't think you wanna be like rude. It was mutual, but I think you probably threw it out there.
Ilya26:57Moment view
I mean, she's awesome. We just didn't get along anymore. She just had a— we just didn't get along. It was really— it was tough. I loved her. She was so fun to be with. She's the best. She's really fun. You know, I figured something out like 3 years after we were divorced. We were all hanging out and all the women got bombed. And my friend turned—
David27:15Moment view
all the women got—
Ilya27:16Moment view
oh, like we were all hanging out with like shit-faced— we were all hanging out with like her friends. We were hanging out with all her friends and they all got bombed and they were being so fun. And my other friend who's married to her friend was like, yeah, he's like, you just have to get them bombed. Just like you just have to get them drunk. And I was like, oh, damn, I wish I knew that.
David27:34Moment view
Oh, because then they're fun.
Natalie27:36Moment view
Yeah.
Ilya27:36Moment view
Oh, interesting. But I never thought that way. I was always like, oh, I can't get drunk.
David27:40Moment view
Yeah. But you also can't just be like, my wife's only fun when she's hammered. I don't think it's going to fix your itch.
Ilya27:47Moment view
No, she's fun when she's not hammered. I'm not trying to say anything negative, but yeah, that was just like a funny thing I noticed.
Jason27:53Moment view
I also wanted to say, um, should I tell the story of how Ilya told me about him?
David27:59Moment view
Oh wait, do you want to hear it? Yeah, of course. Okay, wait, wait, let me give backstory. So, so Ilya and Emma are dating. They've been dating for like, what, 2 years? Yeah, a year and a half. Emma started working at Doughbrix, and then she was our first hire. She was the first hire at Doughbrix, and Ilya was running Doughbrix. And then they started dating and no one really knew.
Natalie28:25Moment view
Yeah, no one knew it at the start.
David28:26Moment view
Yeah, yeah. And then this is the story of— Ilya was also running Zilla, so, and Bella was working for Zilla. So then this is how you found out.
Natalie28:35Moment view
And all of the offices were under— were one office. Both companies operated out of one office. You guys were hanging out a lot and you and Emma became like close friends.
Ilya28:42Moment view
Yeah.
David28:42Moment view
Oh yes, that's the big one. Ilya and— or Emma and Bella were best friends. Yeah, and best friends. Yes, she's emphasizing this because I think she was pissed that it took Emma so long to tell her.
Jason28:54Moment view
She didn't even tell me. Ilya did. Oh, it's like, like it doesn't matter anymore.
David29:00Moment view
I can see the rage in Belle's eyes.
Jason29:02Moment view
It doesn't matter anymore.
David29:04Moment view
Wait, how many, how many months was it?
Jason29:06Moment view
They were dating for like a year, and everybody knew. You, Alex, fucking everyone.
David29:11Moment view
Yeah, I was like, I definitely knew within a year.
Jason29:13Moment view
You guys knew. I Ilya lived here.
David29:16Moment view
But wow, that's crazy.
Ilya29:17Moment view
No. Yeah, I didn't know for 2, 3 years. I think I just found out.
David29:26Moment view
I really didn't.
Ilya29:26Moment view
And that kind of pissed me off a little bit. Wait, it kind of made me kind of mad that you didn't know because I really like Ilya and I think he's like the best. And the fact that he didn't tell me, I was kind of like, well, all right, we're just shitting on Ilya this time. I think Ilya is the best. So it does bother me a little bit because then you're kind of like, Why didn't I know?
David29:47Moment view
Wait, how did you find out?
Ilya29:49Moment view
I literally maybe heard you gossiping once and I was like, what?
David29:54Moment view
You assumed that I knew, right?
Ilya29:55Moment view
That's really funny. Because it was that far gone. It was that late.
David29:58Moment view
2 years after.
Ilya29:59Moment view
Yeah. And I was like, what are you saying? What are you saying right now?
David30:02Moment view
Emma and Ilya? That's really funny.
Ilya30:04Moment view
Yeah. I didn't know. So they did a good job hiding it. Yeah.
David30:08Moment view
Or some could say— Nat, when did you find out? Yeah.
Natalie30:11Moment view
Not for a while.
David30:12Moment view
Oh, okay. So you found out year one, Bella?
Jason30:15Moment view
Not— you guys knew before me because I asked you the next day.
Natalie30:18Moment view
Yeah, I knew before Bella, for sure.
Ilya30:20Moment view
I think that's weird. I think that's weird to like not tell somebody that you're— well, together.
David30:27Moment view
I think it was like because they were working together.
Ilya30:30Moment view
But so he, he owns the company, right?
Jason30:33Moment view
But they had like— nobody had like a GM and like things were rolling at Doughbakes that I don't think they wanted to like mess it up by like, oh, okay, HR, this weird relationship. Okay, I take it back. Of 4 people that work there. Um, but that, that is what was weird. It was just like 5 of us and then I was like, okay, so Ilya picked the only other girl in this office. I was pissed.
David30:58Moment view
Could have been me.
Ilya31:00Moment view
Did you get flown down? Well, I did.
David31:05Moment view
Okay, okay. So how did you find out?
Jason31:08Moment view
Okay, so this is when Zila was like doing so much shit. Remember we went to like Vegas and that was—
David31:15Moment view
Oh, right. You guys were like planning trips every week.
Jason31:17Moment view
Every week, like for Susie's documentary. So we went to Vegas for Spartan, we went to Maui and—
David31:23Moment view
Emma, you guys went to Maui.
Jason31:24Moment view
It's crazy. Miami. Yeah. Yeah.
David31:25Moment view
Wow.
Jason31:27Moment view
Yeah.
David31:27Moment view
Budget was like through the roof. Marvel movies.
Jason31:32Moment view
Yeah. $500,000 for a YouTube documentary.
David31:36Moment view
What?
Jason31:37Moment view
Yeah, we were ballin'. See that office on the— So we went to Vegas and that was the first night that it was weird. It was maybe like 10 months before I found out about them. So we— it was me and David and Alex and Emma and Illy in the elevator. And Emma's like, I just want to go back to the room. And I was like, because we were going to your hotel room to like eat Taco Bell or something. And I was like, okay. And Illy's like, yeah, I'm just going to walk her there. And they like stayed in the elevator and we left. And like, I think you knew already. You and— I don't know if Alex knew, but I knew you knew.
David32:11Moment view
I'm sorry, I missed it. Where is this? What location? Vegas elevator.
Jason32:15Moment view
Okay, after Marshmello, we were with Joe and Kate. John, Julie, Kate.
David32:19Moment view
I have such a bad memory.
Jason32:20Moment view
Okay, yes, yes. Anyway, we're just in Vegas for Spartan and we went out to the club. So I'm like, I didn't think anything of it, but I remember when I found out about Emma and Ilya, you were like, are you dumb? And then you brought that up. You're like, in Vegas, they literally like went back to our hotel room. Then the next morning she was like late getting to the car to like— because we drove to Vegas to like drive back. We stopped at this Dairy Queen because Ilya said Emma like loves the cherry dip cones there. Why the fuck are we stopping at Dairy Queen for Emma right now? I want to get fucking home. She just loves the cherry dip cones. I'm like, why do you care so much? So that was okay.
Ilya33:01Moment view
So anyway, That's really funny.
Jason33:03Moment view
Things go on. Like, I'm just noticing weird things in the office. It's like, by— at that point, like, back rubs, like editing sessions. She's like on his lap.
David33:12Moment view
I'm like, okay, maybe.
Jason33:13Moment view
Oh my God, I swear to God.
David33:15Moment view
And you still were like, Bella, come on.
Jason33:17Moment view
Why would I lie?
David33:20Moment view
No, I don't know.
Jason33:20Moment view
Why did you know?
David33:20Moment view
How are they just like, what are you talking about?
Jason33:25Moment view
Yeah, I mean, it was me and Daryl and like, I don't know, we just—
David33:28Moment view
she's on his lap and you were just like There they go, adding the dog.
Jason33:31Moment view
I just thought maybe like we didn't have— we didn't have like an extra chair. Shut up, shut up. I'm kidding.
Ilya33:39Moment view
Okay, so Alice is feeding Ilya grapes. Bella comes over with her mouth open like, I'll take one.
David33:43Moment view
I'll do a grape. Bella sits on Ilya's lap.
Jason33:48Moment view
I think that's the protocol.
David33:50Moment view
Time to watch dog.
Jason33:53Moment view
Room?
David33:53Moment view
Is there some room? Give me that knee.
Jason33:58Moment view
Oh my God. Okay, so It was like this random Sunday night. Sorry, this is how I found out. Ilya calls me. It's like 6 p.m. He's like, I need you to come to the house right now. I was like, I remember this.
David34:09Moment view
I remember this.
Jason34:10Moment view
I remember this Sunday. I was like freaking out. I was like, oh, he's going to fire me.
David34:14Moment view
Yes, yes. I remember this.
Jason34:16Moment view
He's going to let me go. And I was like, okay, but no one works there.
David34:19Moment view
You were the— I think you were the most anticipated, like that I was going to—
Jason34:25Moment view
he thought I was going to quit.
David34:26Moment view
He was most scared of telling you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jason34:29Moment view
Horrified. Yeah, so I like walk, I walk into the house, pitch black downstairs. So I'm like, no one's here. I sit on the couch, he runs downstairs, he goes, come on, just like that, come on. I'm like, okay. So I follow him, I'm like, where are we going? He's like, get in the car.
David34:43Moment view
I'm like, what the fuck?
Jason34:45Moment view
Execute, get in the car. So I get in the car and I'm like freaking out, I'm like shaking, I'm like, what's going on, what's going on? Not saying anything, he's like laughing and giggling, and he like backs up his car and starts racing down the street. And I'm like, I was like, just tell me, please. I'm like, the Virgin Tears gonna start freaking out, just fire me already. And then he goes, he stops the car like this, slams on the brakes. All right, me and Emma are dating. And I was like, what are you talking about? I was like, no, you're not. Like, why, why the fuck would you do this, like, this whole thing if it's just you and Emma dating? And he goes, we're dating. I said, no, you're not. No, you're not. He like keeps driving, he's fucking like dying laughing because I don't believe him.
David35:26Moment view
You thought it was a lot more dramatic.
Jason35:28Moment view
Yeah, I was like, no, you're not dating Emma. I was like, Emma Pilmer? He's like, no, Emma Bogan. Yeah. I'm like, what the fuck? I'm like, what the fuck? I can't believe it because I'm in shock about my friend Emma hiding it from me for months. Yeah, Ilya hiding it from me, Alex hiding it from me, everyone hiding it from me. And, uh, and then also just like how he positioned it, like I was gonna Yeah, lose my job tomorrow.
Ilya35:55Moment view
To talk like that, to be that dramatic, you know, to be—
David35:58Moment view
to speed the car and then be like, I think we told him that too though.
Ilya36:04Moment view
Cancer.
David36:04Moment view
Yeah, yeah, like it's like, it's like, yeah, we told him that. We're like, you just gotta tell her. Yeah, yeah, like, and it wasn't just like he was like— he really loved Emma and still does. So it's just like, I was just like, you just gotta fucking tell her normally, like it's fine.
Jason36:17Moment view
How he found out she liked him, have you guys heard that story? Like she had like a notebook and was writing like stuff about— yeah, I think it was in her Notes app actually. I don't think it was like a physically physical diary, but she was like in the car like looking at it.
David36:31Moment view
She was like, no, no, wait, what was it? What was in the notes? Have you seen the notes?
Jason36:35Moment view
All 5 days? She just like had a crush on him or whatever.
Ilya36:39Moment view
Today came into work and ordered 500 units of treadmills. Susie Strawberry Shortcake protein. I can't believe how many grams of protein he's fit into this new batch. It's gonna be epic.
David36:52Moment view
I'm so proud carbs, all while also making pizza. This man can do it all. Do you believe, um, as girls, do you believe that you can make new guy friends as like if you're in a relationship?
Jason37:07Moment view
Yeah, Alex is like one of my best friends, and like, that's new.
David37:10Moment view
You're, you're pretty good at it, I guess. But that's also, that also came from work. It wasn't like you, you know what I mean?
Natalie37:19Moment view
Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I've like kind of been single for 2 years, so I have lots of guy friends.
Ilya37:24Moment view
No, but when you're in a relationship—
David37:25Moment view
no, when you're in a relationship, like a lot of people say like once you're in a relationship, like to make a new guy friend is strange.
Natalie37:31Moment view
Yeah, I think—
David37:32Moment view
well, vice versa also. Sorry, vice versa.
Natalie37:34Moment view
Yeah, just make a friend of the opposite sex is kind of interesting. I know it's like frowned— I think it just depends on the context. Like I feel like our, our job is just so social. Like I meet people all the time.
Ilya37:43Moment view
I'm like, it's just a part of the job.
David37:44Moment view
Yeah, but I think there's a difference between it's a part of the job and it's like this is getting like really social.
Natalie37:49Moment view
Yeah, I'm not like befriending some random dude at a bar, right?
Ilya37:52Moment view
Yeah. I feel like I— with Naveen, I feel like I've locked her down and stolen so much of her life that, you know, I mean, because she's so young. And, uh, and so I'm always like, oh, if she wanted to— she has like a guy friend that she goes and sees, and I'm fine with it.
David38:06Moment view
She flies her out on boats. She has a guy friend in Mykonos, and sometimes in Chirpé. Actually, there's a couple of them.
Ilya38:15Moment view
I haven't heard from a while. It's been a minute. I should text her.
David38:20Moment view
Hey baby, are you coming back? Taylor just texted me right now. Do you know What A Peach? Yeah, yeah. What A Peach is like a, uh, what is it, like a smoothie place? She just texted me, Hillary Duff at What A Peach. She's there right now in all caps. What am I, what am I, the fucking Hollywood fix?
Ilya38:37Moment view
Grab the camera.
David38:38Moment view
That's what I'm supposed to do.
Ilya38:40Moment view
You'll have to wait.
David38:43Moment view
So, and how did that affect your relationship with Emma? Like, how did you confront Emma? Were you like, Emma, what the fuck?
Jason38:49Moment view
She actually called me. I think Ilya probably like told her, right? And then she called me and she was horrified, like, to tell me. And I was just like, damn, like, what kind of, what kind of things do I give off that it's just so scary to tell me?
David39:02Moment view
Yeah, right.
Jason39:03Moment view
How do I describe it? I don't— I can't describe it. But we're still, we're still really close. She came to my bachelorette.
Ilya39:07Moment view
You said you had— you didn't have Chippendales, but you had pool boys. What's a pool boy? Is that like a hired person?
Jason39:12Moment view
Yeah. You like— there's like this thing in Scottsdale where you hire like pool boys to be bartenders. So they're just like pouring shots, playing games. They like make it really—
David39:19Moment view
oh, they make it fun where they come to your house. Shut the fuck up.
Jason39:24Moment view
It's so fun.
Ilya39:24Moment view
How many pool boys came to the house? 2.
Jason39:27Moment view
Okay.
David39:28Moment view
2. Were they super hot?
Jason39:31Moment view
No. Oh, they kind of were just like, like Love Island kind of guys. Like, guys listening.
David39:36Moment view
Yeah.
Ilya39:36Moment view
The pool boy's crying right now.
David39:38Moment view
Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, she's bringing us up. Turn it up, turn it up.
Ilya39:44Moment view
Oh fuck, no way. Damn shit. Ah fuck, thought we had a good time.
David39:49Moment view
They were a great time. And now finally, sorry, what happened to you? This is why we had you on the pod, but we really sidetracked with talking about your come up.
Jason39:58Moment view
So I've been, I was gone in Scottsdale last weekend, I guess 2 weeks ago now. So my car just was sitting in my apartment car garage, just like unattended. Um, and when I got back on Monday, I noticed my license plate was like a little slanted. Yeah. And I was like, weird. Okay, must just be coming loose because Jack put the plates on. I just like don't trust that he screwed it in all the way. Um, so I was like, oh, they're just coming loose. Like, I've just— I'll have him fix it this weekend. I'm not thinking anything of it. So my life is pretty consistent right now. I should get up, go to the gym, come home, watch my dog. Um, so I Got up at the regular time, was driving to Young LA for the whole week at the same time. So like 10 a.m. So anyway, the last day I'm driving to the gym and two cop cars pull behind me and they're like on my ass. And I'm like, okay, maybe they're trying to scare me. I was on my phone. I don't know. So I'm like swerving in and out of lanes trying to get rid of them and see if they're following me. And they're obviously following me. So I'm like, okay, I turn right, I'm going down the street, and then I see two cop cars ahead of me. And I see them get behind the other cops. So now there's 4 cop cars.
David41:03Moment view
Shut the fuck up. Yeah, there are 4 cop cars following you when you're going to the gym.
Jason41:07Moment view
Going to the gym. So I pull into the Young L.A. parking lot and they just go, whoop, whoop. And I see people in the gym start to come out because there's 4 cop cars in the parking lot and me. And then I roll down my window. I'm like, they're a problem. They're all like still in the cop cars. No one's coming to my window and they're like, drop the keys out of the car right now. Hands like above your head.
David41:29Moment view
I was like, shut the fuck up.
Jason41:31Moment view
Okay, so I dropped the keys. Open the door with your left hand. I'm like, oh my God. I'm like, I'm so in shock. I'm like, what the fuck's going on? Like, what did I do that was so bad? Yeah. So I open the door.
David41:41Moment view
I would pee.
Jason41:41Moment view
I have my hands like this and I turn and they're like, turn around, like screaming. And I turn back around. But in that moment when I look back, the cops have like 6 rifles on me, guns. And I was like, are you— I was shaking again talking about it. So they're like, get on your knees. And mind you, I'm in this like young LA sports bra and tiny shorts and all these Young LA people in the gym are watching this happen and I'm on my knees. They come, grab my hands, put me in handcuffs, walk me back to the car and put me against the car. And I was like, I was like, what did I do? What happened? And meanwhile, the Young LA people are like, let her go, let her go. She wouldn't do anything. Really? No. Wait, wait, what did they say?
Natalie42:25Moment view
Isabella 15?
Jason42:26Moment view
What? No, they said she wouldn't do anything.
Ilya42:28Moment view
No, no, but they did. They used your code.
Jason42:29Moment view
Oh, oh, I was like, use code Isabella. Code Isabella orders. That's how they addressed her.
David42:36Moment view
Yeah. Oh, the Young LA people.
Jason42:40Moment view
That's—
David42:40Moment view
they're saying, code Isabella, that's her.
Jason42:43Moment view
50% off. Let her go.
David42:45Moment view
She's giving people 50% off.
Jason42:46Moment view
Young LA.
David42:47Moment view
She would never do anything. She just wants to help.
Jason42:52Moment view
Um, so I'm against the car. I'm like, can you guys please just tell me what the fuck's going on? At this point they're searching my car and I'm like, okay, there's nothing in there. No one's saying anything. I said, just tell me. And they're like, in a second, ma'am. Like, calm down. I'm like, how the fuck am I supposed to be calm? I'm being arrested.
David43:07Moment view
They didn't ask you to search your car. They just went straight for it.
Jason43:09Moment view
Went straight for it. Oh my God. So finally, the deputy's like, your plates are stolen. Like, that's my car though. Like, check the VIN, check the registration. It's all in my car. They check it. And then that's when they're like, the person who has your plates is driving the same exact make, model, and year as your car. Same look, everything. They just switched the plates. So it looks like like, I have the stolen car and they have my plates. And I was like, oh my God, like, no, that's crazy. I was like, all this for stolen plates?
David43:42Moment view
Like, you couldn't— well, the person—
Jason43:43Moment view
car. Oh yeah, okay.
David43:44Moment view
Yeah, yeah. But like, wow. I— first of all, I didn't know cops in LA actually like look for stolen cars. I thought that's just like a thing where it's like, yeah, your car's gone, dude. That's crazy. That's, that's actually kind of nice to hear that.
Natalie43:58Moment view
Well, this person that stole the car must have also done something else.
David44:01Moment view
Must have murdered somebody or something.
Jason44:03Moment view
Literally.
David44:03Moment view
Because there's no way cops care about just a car. And the way they came up on you, were they so apologetic?
Jason44:08Moment view
Not really. They were like, sorry. Like, it wasn't like, oh my God, we're so sorry. But they were also not—
David44:15Moment view
I guess it's not their fault.
Jason44:16Moment view
They had probable cause because everybody, um, I've like posted this fucking story on Snapchat and people were like, you have to sue. I was like, yeah, you think that's gonna go over well? I'm just gonna get a million dollars for nothing.
Ilya44:28Moment view
What's the move? They switched the plate and then what? They drive the car around? I don't get it. They have more time with the car.
David44:34Moment view
Yeah.
Ilya44:34Moment view
Or they take it to a chop shop.
Jason44:36Moment view
No.
David44:36Moment view
Or they could just leave the state, whatever the situation is, without being detected by like where the car's moving. So they have more time.
Natalie44:44Moment view
But now you can track that license plate, right?
David44:46Moment view
But now who knows? That person may be gone.
Jason44:49Moment view
Right.
David44:49Moment view
True. Or it could be just like a wild goose chase. He could have switched the—
Ilya44:52Moment view
keep switching.
David44:53Moment view
He keeps switching the plates. Yeah.
Natalie44:55Moment view
Well, it's crazy. Just with young LA athletes all driving that car. It's crazy that it was parked in the parking garage. Like somebody Somebody in your building must be in on it, no?
Jason45:05Moment view
I don't, like I can't confirm it was there. It could have been at Cousins, it could have been at Young LA.
Ilya45:11Moment view
The real question is, Bella, after the police left, did you go in and work out? I did. Oh, okay.
David45:17Moment view
Wow, really? Did you lift heavier than you ever lifted before or less?
Jason45:21Moment view
I was kind of just like out of it. I was just working out to work out. I was checking my phone every 3 seconds just 'cause like I was so—
David45:27Moment view
Were you like a local celeb in there? Was everybody like, dude, what happened?
Jason45:29Moment view
You okay? No, they were like, I knew you were a drug dealer.
David45:35Moment view
Well, Bella, thank you for joining us. Thank you for telling us about your time here at the company and hanging with us and watching Endgame when you're drunk. It's very sweet. Go check out— plug something.
Jason45:47Moment view
Young LA, code is Bella.
David45:50Moment view
There it is. Go watch— go listen to Jason's podcast, All Good Things. And Natalie, I don't know why I'm ending on such a somber note. I think it's because Taylor's peeking through the door and I'm like, what happened with Lizzie McGuire? Tay, what's up?
Jason46:02Moment view
Major important decisions to be made, immediate decisions, and your food is here.
David46:08Moment view
Also, what happened with Hilary Duff?
Natalie46:09Moment view
Oh my gosh, she was at What A Peach.
Ilya46:12Moment view
What'd she order?
Jason46:13Moment view
Isn't that so cool? I don't know, Reggie and Warren sent me a picture of her. Oh wow, she has a new smoothie there. Oh, I just thought that was really— I mean, that's like icon, icon.
David46:23Moment view
Yeah, she is. Thank you for reporting. I already got it on the pod so everyone knows. Thank you so much.
Ilya46:28Moment view
I had a smoothie there.
David46:29Moment view
Yeah, you— like, you— no, no, like, you had like your own smoothie there. I did. Like the Jason Nash smoothie.
Jason46:36Moment view
Yeah, she has her own smoothie now.
David46:38Moment view
Damn, they're getting all the celebs.
Ilya46:41Moment view
They're getting bigger celebs. They're getting big, that place. Yeah, yeah, you started it. I started it.
David46:46Moment view
Hillary Duff probably walked into that place and was like, you know what you did with Jason Nash? Is it too much to ask for you to do the same thing with me? Um, all right guys, that's all the time we have.
Jason46:56Moment view
Bye-bye. Bring back Teeny Weeny.
